4 Dinsmore Attorneys Make Partner in Louisville
Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is proud to announce four of its Louisville-based attorneys have been elected to partnership, effective Jan. 1, 2020.
The four attorneys practice across multiple practice groups, including commercial litigation, Banking & Financial Services and Mergers & Acquisitions.
“When we empower our attorneys, good things happen,” said Dinsmore Chairman and Managing Partner George Vincent. “I’m looking forward to this next generation putting their stamp on the firm. I have nothing but excitement for the future.”
We spoke with Dinsmore’s new partners. See what they had to say about this career milestone below:
Daniel O’Gara, Litigation/Appellate/False Claims Act:
“Making partner marks a new phase of my career, and I can’t wait to get started. I came to Dinsmore straight from law school and couldn’t be happier here. My goal is to become one of the preeminent commercial litigators in Kentucky. Litigation always brings new challenges and forces you to constantly learn new specialties, and I look forward to continuing to grow as a lawyer and person at Dinsmore.”
Jerrad Howard, Mergers & Acquisitions:
“My success as an associate was built on the support and guidance I’ve received from remarkable attorneys at Dinsmore who excel in a variety of fields. That support has allowed me to build a robust practice comprised of industry-leading clients of which I am immensely proud, and I look forward to continuing to serve those clients in the future.”
Sarah Mattingly, Corporate & Transactional/Bankruptcy & Restructuring/Banking & Financial Services:
“I started my legal career during the height of the recession, representing creditors in foreclosures, bankruptcies and litigation arising out of problem loans. My path at Dinsmore has enabled me to continue in these areas and fine-tune the skills I developed during the recession. It has provided me with the opportunity to expand my experience to include complex bankruptcies, including adversary proceedings, and complex commercial and consumer workouts, representing the retail line of business for financial institutions, and navigating the regulatory alphabet of RESPA, FCRA, FDCPA, TILA and ECOA.
“I hope to continue to partner with our financial service industry clients to better understand their business, protect against potential risks and to assist them with navigating issues efficiently when they arise with the industry expertise our clients expect.”
Caroline Pieroni, Litigation:
“I am honored to be elected to the partnership at Dinsmore, a firm that has been my home since summers in law school. Over the past nine years, I have seen the firm become national and make great strides to become more diverse in its leadership, including supporting women in the firm’s top ranks. I look forward to my place in advancing the firm in Louisville.
“Becoming a partner also offers me a great platform to enhance the work I do for clients, including offering training on the latest trends in employment and business law, devising strategies to defend employment and commercial litigation clients, and partnering with clients to handle legal issues more efficiently and effectively.”
