"Did voters realize what they were voting on last year when they approved changes to the Kentucky Constitution, dramatically expanding the rights of crime victims?

Or were the changes, boiled down to a single question on the ballot, so oversimplified that, as state Supreme Court Justice Michelle Keller put it, "who other than a sociopath would answer any way but yes?"

A dispute over what's known as "Marsy's Law," meant to give more rights to crime victims, went before the Kentucky Supreme Court Friday in a case that pits a well-financed national victims' advocacy movement against trial lawyers and others opposed to the law adopted last year."
