Please join Dinsmore attorney, Daniel Briscoe and Kentucky Senator, Wil Schroder, as they discuss the Energy Project Assessment District Act.
In 2015, Kentucky passed the Energy Project Assessment District Act and thus joined a growing trend of states throughout the country to have enacted "EPAD" legislation. The EPAD Act allows local governments, either cities or counties, to create a method where by local developers can more easily obtain financing for specific energy projects. So far, there have only been 2-3 EPADs throughout the state, but we are seeing more and more developers learn about them, and wish to use them. This webinar is aimed at county and city employees, particularly those involved with economic development, who wish to learn more about setting up and administering an EPAD to incentivize energy-saving projects in their own districts.
