Biography

Nick is a patent agent with a background in electrical engineering who assists clients with patent preparation and prosecution. His experience with Intellectual Property started in 2017, and he has drafted hundreds of patent applications since then related to wireless communications, machine learning, medical device implementations, autonomous driving technologies, network software and hardware, and customer relationship management technologies. He has also handled patent prosecution duties for related technologies, including developing strategies for responding to Office Actions, preparing Office Action responses, drafting Appeal Briefs and Appeals, and conducting Examiner Interviews.

Prior to becoming a patent agent, Nick worked as a planning engineer for a power transmission and distribution company in Colorado, where he planned transmission and generation projects for the bulk transmission system in the area based on load forecasts and contingency analyses. He moved from Texas and graduated from Colorado School of Mines in 2012, which helped him fall in love with the state and led to him staying here ever since.
