Dinsmore Advises FlexScreen, of Shark Tank Fame, Through Landmark Sale to RiteScreen

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP recently acted as seller-side counsel in the acquisition of FlexScreen, LLC by The RiteScreen Company, marking one of the largest exits for any Shark Tank business in the show’s history.

FlexScreen, renowned for its market-disruptive flexible window screen technology protected by multiple patents, has experienced exceptional growth since its memorable Season 11 appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank. After a spirited battle among three of the five Sharks, FlexScreen entered into a successful ongoing business relationship with Lori Greiner. The company's trajectory has only accelerated, with additional Shark Tank update segments and more appearances scheduled over the next six months.

Dinsmore’s relationship with FlexScreen began at its inception in 2013, with Jim Carlisle representing the company from formation through to this transformative transaction. The sale to RiteScreen, which was completed on February 13, 2025, included rollover equity in RiteScreen’s private-equity-backed parent company and a long-term employment agreement for co-founder Joe Altieri to serve as RiteScreen’s Chief Innovation Officer.
