Cincinnati Associate Sarah Sessler Bolsters Dinsmore’s Robust Litigation Group
Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has welcomed Sarah Sessler—a new commercial litigation associate in the firm’s Cincinnati office. Dinsmore’s litigation group now boasts 291 attorneys across the firm, including 131 in Ohio and 95 in Cincinnati.
Sessler comes to Dinsmore following a two-year judicial clerkship for Chief Judge Russ Kendig of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Ohio, where she prepared memoranda and drafted opinions for the judge, performed legal research, conducted docket management, and was the point of contact for attorneys.
“This is an exciting transition for me,” Sessler said. “I’m from Dayton, have been in Cleveland for several years and am happy to now come to Cincinnati to join Dinsmore.”
In the early going, Sessler will work closely with Dinsmore Partner Elizabeth Shaffer on arbitration cases concerning consumer financial products. She has long envisioned herself in the litigation realm.
“I’ve always been interested in the courtroom advocacy side of things,” she said. “I’m excited to fight on behalf of my clients.”
Sessler earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School following two bachelor’s degrees (English and Italian) from The Ohio State University. Outside the office, she and her husband—also a local attorney—enjoy cooking and traveling. Sessler is fluent in Italian and hopes to one day use her English degree to write a novel.
