Biography
Micaela focuses her practice on a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including construction litigation, complex contract disputes, fiduciary duty disputes, real estate litigation, and will and trust contests. She has litigated construction defect and delay claims, representing contractors, subcontractors, and owners. Micaela assists both local and national clients with questions ranging from internal procedures to complex litigation strategy. Micaela counsels clients through all phases of litigation, including negotiating pre-litigation resolution, conducting discovery, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, negotiating settlement, and carrying cases through trial and onto the appellate level. Her experience also includes counseling clients through alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation.
Micaela earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While in law school, Micaela participated in trial advocacy courses and moot court competitions, gaining experience in client advocacy at the trial and appellate levels. She is a certified mediator in Franklin County and has experience serving as a mediator in truancy disputes.
