Biography
LaTawnda Moore is a licensed attorney in Ohio and Kentucky, who has been involved in trial litigation, pretrial litigation, appellate law, and administrative law since 2008. She currently focuses her practice on health care law where she serves hospital systems, licensees and prospective licensees with their regulatory, compliance, and license defense needs. These services range from HIPAA compliance, corporate practice of medicine, health care business creation, contracts, and compliance, DEA compliance and defense, CMS compliance and defense.
Formerly, she worked as an Assistant Attorney General where she spent a decade building relationships with Ohio’s governing bodies. She acted as disciplinary counseling for various regulatory agencies, prosecuting violations of various health care practices.
She now uses that experience in license defense, where she serves licensed professionals who may be facing discipline from the Medical Board, the Nursing Board, the Board of Pharmacy, the Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Board, and the Department of Developmental Disabilities and other allied health professions. She has additional experience representing licensed employees of the VA and the Department of Defense in peer review hearings and other venues.
LaTawnda is a seasoned litigator and appellate attorney. She has presented cases to juries throughout Ohio, has argued in multiple Ohio appellate courts, and presented written arguments to the Supreme Court of Ohio.
A graduate of DePauw University and Capital University Law School, LaTawnda is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio Women’s Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the American Health Law Association, and The American Association of Nurse Attorneys. She is proud to serve her community as a board member of the Development Board of Nationwide Children’s Hospital and as a Girl Scout leader.
