Biography
Janice focuses her practice on appellate matters, and has extensive experience representing clients before Florida’s District Courts of Appeal. In addition to her appellate practice, Janice provides pretrial, trial, and post-trial litigation support, including complex and dispositive motion practice. Her legal practice extends to include product liability, premises liability, wrongful death, personal injury, commercial litigation, and insurance coverage. She serves a broad spectrum of clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies, property management firms, and hospitality organizations to small businesses and their employees, leveraging extensive experience across varied client engagements.
Prior to her civil litigation career, Janice co-authored an advisory opinion for the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on international legal obligations concerning pregnant or postpartum women in incarceration. Her background includes advocacy for children with disabilities through the Disability Rights Law Clinic, as well as research on NGO accreditation processes at the United Nations while employed with a prominent human rights organization.
Janice earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where she distinguished herself as a member of the Business Law Review. During law school, she served as a judicial intern to Judge Timothy J. Kelly, United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.
