Biography

Hasan "Has" helps clients build strong intellectual property portfolios to protect their technology and increase the value of their business by monopolizing targeted technology areas. Has focuses his practice on patent prosecution, software technologies, and counseling clients on building and developing patent monopolies. He has represented clients ranging from industry leaders, Fortune 50 companies, startups, as well as several U.S. and international academic institutions. His vast knowledge of the technology industry includes Machine Learning models and AI; Cloud Networks; Virtualization technology; Operating systems; Database management systems; Enterprise systems management; Cybersecurity; Cryptography; Tokenization; Blockchain transactions; Mobile device applications; Augmented and Virtual Reality, and Medical Devices.

Has is involved in all stages pertinent to patent applications including patent preparation, drafting, and prosecution. In addition, Has is experienced with conducting infringement analysis, patentability searches, and drafting appeal briefs. His practice also includes handling complex subject matter eligibility issues under 35 U.S.C. §101.

Has is known for his versatility, personable approach, and delivering effective solutions both independently and collaboratively. He has experience working in partnership with law schools and human rights organizations to supervise students from California's top law firms as they provide legal advocacy for refugees and displaced people as well as personally advocating for victims of sexual trafficking.
