George Vincent Reelected as Dinsmore Chairman and Managing Partner for 5th Term
Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is proud to announce George H. Vincent has been reelected to a fifth term as chairman and managing partner.
Vincent came to Dinsmore in 1982 and began his first term as managing partner 25 years later in 2007. As part of the Corporate & Transactional, Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Government Relations practice groups, he counsels businesses with regard to strategic growth, funding and regulatory oversight.
“Being elected to a fifth term and knowing the firm has faith in my continued leadership is truly an honor,” he said. “From the beginning of my career with Dinsmore, I have seen the firm accomplish significant success, growth, and expansion of our offerings to better serve our clients. I am pleased to have been part of it as both an attorney and a leader.”
To date, the legacy of Vincent’s tenure in leadership includes growth from 275 to 675 attorneys, and the total will surpass 700 in 2020. The firm has also expanded its footprint to offices in 25 cities from coast to coast.
“If you stop growing, you start to fall behind,” Vincent said. “We are growing in size but also in quality, profitability and depth. My focus is to continue building on our successes and the strengths of our new leadership, so we are even better equipped to meet and exceed our clients’ needs as they evolve.”
Vincent’s vision for this term includes setting the stage for Dinsmore’s next round of leadership. A primary step toward that goal is the introduction of a new group of partners taking over practice group chair positions and board of directors seats in 2020.
“We’re experiencing a wave of new leadership,” Vincent said. “Six of our board members joined the board within the last year. I look forward to working with those stepping into leadership roles for the first time. We look for them to bring new perspective to help us build on our already strong foundation, and I’m pleased to continue in my role.”
