Dinsmore Ranks 6th in the Nation for Women Equity Partners

June 15, 2015News Releases

Dinsmore & Shohl ranks 6th in the nation among the top law firms for the number of women equity partners, according to a new report issued by The American Lawyer (AmLaw).

24.8 percent of women partners at Dinsmore held an equity stake in the firm in 2014, landing Dinsmore 6th out of the 174 law firms ranked. The American Lawyer surveys law firms to compile its AmLaw 200 ranking of the top grossing firms in the country and used the demographic data from that survey to create this list.

“Dinsmore puts more emphasis on talent and merit, and I’m pleased to work with so many successful and skilled women partners,” said Susan B. Zaunbrecher, Dinsmore’s Corporate Department Chair.

According to the American Lawyer, women make up 44.8% of associates and 35% of newly appointed partners. Out of the top 200 firms, women accounted for just 16.8 percent of equity partners last year.

“Our presence among the Top 10 firms for promoting women to equity partner level is no surprise, and ranking 6th validates that Dinsmore rewards hard work and dedication,” said George H. Vincent, Dinsmore’s Managing Partner & Chairman.

For the past five years, Dinsmore has ranked in the 150 top grossing law firms in the country. The American Lawyer compiles results from its annual survey to create these rankings.
