Dinsmore’s Laura Holoubek Named Founding Fellow of American College of LLC and Partnership Attorneys
Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is proud to announce partner Laura Holoubek has been named a founding fellow of the American College of LLC and Partnership Attorneys.
The college, according to a letter sent by its president, Scott E. Ludwig, was formed with a fellowship of attorneys, judges and professors with a tenure of at least 10 years “who have distinguished themselves by devoting and demonstrating a willingness to organize bar projects, write articles, teach courses, draft legislation, practice and focus a significant amount of time to matters involving limited liability company, partnership and other unincorporated entity law.”
“I’m honored to join this group of thought leaders whom I admire greatly,” Holoubek said. “I look forward to contributing to the development of this important area of business law.”
Holoubek is a go-to lawyer on choice of entity, LLC and partnership formation, member rights and governance. She sits on the American Bar Association’s LLCs and Partnership Committee, where she chaired the drafting committee for the ABA's Model LLC Organizational Checklist, resulting in publication of the annotated checklist in the ABA’s Business Lawyer. She is also the president-elect of Equestrian Events, Inc. and an adjunct professor of equine law at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law.
The college will seek to continually improve the practice of limited liability law through speaking opportunities, continued education, consultations with bar associations and governments, and support of the ABA’s annual LLC Institute.
