Breach of Contract Claims

Our client claimed a breach of a purchase agreement involving industrial goods. Following several days at trial, a judge in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas entered a judgment favorable to our client, including a total award in excess of $500,000 that included compensation, late fees and legal costs.

Credentialing/Licensure Disputes

We successfully litigated credentialing and licensure disputes to allow our healthcare clients to maintain their credentialing/licensure status.

Healthcare Fraud Allegations

We successfully defended various healthcare providers in both criminal and civil proceedings involving claims of healthcare fraud.

Indemnification Claim

We successfully defended a national staffing company in a case where the adverse party sought indemnification in connection with claims brought by the EEOC based on the opponent’s allegedly wrongful conduct. The case was venued in the U.S. District Court in Maryland. We received a favorable judgment. The opponent was ordered to pay more than $2 million.

Product Liability Claims

We successfully defended hundreds of product liability claims filed after products were withdrawn from the market.

Successfully defend claims against managed care organization

We successfully defended numerous claims by enrollees.

Whistleblower Claims

We successfully defended and helped prosecute whistle blower claims involving healthcare providers.

“Wrongful Living” Lawsuit

We successfully argued for our client, a hospital, before the Ohio Supreme Court that a “wrongful living” claim could not be presented in connection with resuscitation by a healthcare provider.

Medical malpractice claims

We successfully defended numerous medical malpractice claims.

Breach of Contract Claim

We successfully prosecuted a breach of contract claim for our client after the defendant failed to pay for projects it had ordered. The issue was resolved favorably for our client through arbitration.

Alleged ERISA Violations

We successfully defended a large medical practice accused of ERISA violations. Judgment was awarded to our client by a judge in the US District Court of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Breach of Contract and Defamation Claims

We successfully handled breach of contract and defamation claims involving competing accountants. The case was tried for three days in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, after which a favorable settlement was reached.

Breach of Contract and Trade Secret Misappropriation Claims

We have represented a large physicians group in commercial litigation against several formerly-employed physicians based on breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets. One case was tried for five days in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas; we received a judgment favorable to our client for approximately $300,000. Other matters were also prosecuted successfully for the client.

Defended state and national class action allegations involving various industries.

Multi-District Litigation

We have successfully coordinated the defense of national actions brought against the makers of health-oriented products.
