Biography
Colleen focuses her practice on insurance coverage, bad faith litigation and construction defect litigation. She has experience working with first-party insurance and bad faith litigation, hurricane claims, catastrophic injury, employment law, products liability, and corporate legal project management. She also has experience acting as a consulting and research attorney for cases filed in other states. Colleen’s construction defect experience includes representing engineers, sub-contractors, and home builders in both simple and technically complex litigation, and is adept at understanding and applying highly technical construction and engineering principles that can arise in construction defect cases. Colleen has litigated cases on both the defense and plaintiff side, providing a unique perspective on plaintiff strategies.
In law school, Colleen served first as a team member on Tulane’s environmental appellate moot court team, then served as the team’s coach during her final year of study. In addition, Colleen was extremely active in non-profit and community based initiatives to further access to the courts for the low-income and disabled in both Texas and Louisiana.
