Ashley E.  Durner

Biography

Ashley focuses her practice on the regulatory and transactional aspects of health care. She counsels clients on a wide range of issues impacting the healthcare sector, including those related to HIPAA and HITECH, the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Physician Self-Referral Law, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. Ashley has significant experience negotiating complex agreements, drafting corporate policies, and representing healthcare industry clients in mergers and acquisitions.

Ashley received her J.D. from University of Cincinnati College of Law. During law school, in addition to working as a law clerk at Dinsmore, she was a legal intern for UC Law’s Entrepreneurship & Community Development Clinic where she gained firsthand experience helping start-ups and small businesses achieve their goals. Ashley also served as a teaching assistant for a course on negotiations. Before attending law school, her professional experience included working for several large hospitals, as well as a large research institute, which enables her to better understand the practical issues our health care clients face.
