Dinsmore Partner Justin Walker Confirmed as Federal Judge
The United States Senate has confirmed Dinsmore Partner Justin Walker to a lifetime appointment as a U.S. district judge for the Western District of Kentucky.
At Dinsmore, Walker practiced commercial litigation with a focus on appellate law. In his role as assistant professor at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, he has conducted research in separation of powers, national security, and federal courts.
"The opportunity to serve on the bench is an honor,” Walker said. “I feel extremely grateful to all the mentors and supporters I have learned from and leaned on in my career and during this nomination process, including many valued colleagues at Dinsmore."
Walker clerked for Justice Anthony Kennedy on the U.S. Supreme Court and Justice Brett Kavanaugh on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. In 2011, he was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for law and public policy.
“We are honored to see a Dinsmore partner nominated and confirmed as a federal judge,” said Dinsmore Chairman and Managing Partner George Vincent. “We wish Justin well in this esteemed position.”
