Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce partner Anna Dailey has been appointed by Governor Jim Justice to the West Virginia Industrial Council, subject to the advice and consent of the West Virginia Senate.

The West Virginia Industrial Council is a five-member statutory body that, among other duties, establishes guidelines and policies for the effective administration of the workers’ compensation insurance market in West Virginia. At least one member of the Industrial Council must be an attorney with financial management experience who also has 10 years of experience in his or her field of expertise. She recently stepped down as the managing partner of the Charleston office, handing the reins over to Dinsmore partner Ashley Pack. Dailey also serves on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Civil Justice Committee for the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and is the former chair of the Chamber’s Human Resources Committee. She was also on the Kanawha County Parks & Recreation Committee for 12 years, including several as its president.

Dailey has more than 30 years of experience handling a variety of traditional labor law matters as well as considerable employment litigation experience, working with clients in diverse industries, including energy, manufacturing, and health care. She has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer for Business, Labor & Employment by Chambers USA; by Best Lawyers for her work in Labor & Employment, Mining and Natural Resources Law; and was named a Who’s Who in WV Business by the WV State Journal in 2013.
