Alex S. Havlin

Biography

Alex’s practice focuses on labor and employment law and litigation. He helps clients to navigate issues arising from various federal employment laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as well as their state law counterparts. He works with clients that vary greatly in size and industry, and is able to apply his experience to develop effective strategies that best suit their individual needs.

Alex also serves as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve. He is presently assigned as a legal assistance attorney, and previously mobilized as the Chief of Military Justice for the 412th Theater Engineer Command, a nearly 13,000 Soldier formation. 

Prior to joining the firm, Alex spent more than a decade as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. In that role, he gained invaluable litigation experience, spanning from investigation to appellate practice, representing the State of Ohio in the Court of Common Pleas, Court of Appeals, and the Ohio Supreme Court.
