Adam J. Woodward

Biography

Adam is a registered patent attorney whose practice focuses on enforcing and securing patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets for clients ranging from individual inventors and startups to established corporations. His technical experience spans software, semiconductors, wireless devices, and electronics, as well as biochemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemical process engineering, and biologics. Adam’s background in both chemical and biomolecular engineering informs his guidance and strategy for clients involved in complex intellectual property disputes across a range of technological fields.

He helps clients working in these and other areas, manage cases from inception to resolution, handling pre-suit diligence, infringement analysis, motion practice, discovery disputes, and expert witness coordination. Adam has also led and defended against intellectual property litigation campaigns, overseeing licensing target identification, venue selection, and validity assessments to protect his clients’ interests.

While at law school, Adam clerked for Judge Timothy Batten of the Northern District of Georgia and Judge Alan O. Forst of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeals. Prior to law school, he worked with startup technology firms where he conducted research on metal-oxide nanoparticles for lithium-ion battery electrodes and responses to the early legal and technical challenges posed by these technologies.
